Job Cards

A job card represents one physical piece being manufactured. If a production order has 500 units, there are 500 job cards.

Job Card Number Format

Format: JC-YYYY-XXXXX

How Job Cards Are Created

Job cards are created automatically when you create a production order.

You cannot manually create individual job cards. They are always generated from a production order.

Stage Flow

Stages must progress in order. You cannot skip from “Cutting” to “Finishing”—each stage must be completed sequentially.

Viewing Job Cards

From Production Order

Location: Production Order Detail → Job Cards tab Shows only job cards for that specific order.

All Job Cards

Location: Sidebar → Job Cards Shows all job cards across all production orders.

Access: Click on any job card number
  • Job card number
  • Production order (clickable link)
  • Current stage badge
  • QR code button

Information Displayed

Stage History

Shows each stage transition:
  • Stage name
  • Worker who completed it
  • Timestamp
  • Rate paid

Method 2: Manual Update

Open job card

Click on job card number to open detail page

Click Change Stage

Button in header area

Select next stage

Choose from dropdown (only next sequential stage available)

Select worker (if required)

Choose worker who completed the stage

Save

Stage updates and logs in history

Bulk Actions

Bulk Stage Update

Update multiple job cards at once:

Go to Job Cards list

Production Order → Job Cards tab, or Sidebar → Job Cards

Select job cards

Check the boxes next to job cards to update

Click Bulk Actions

Button appears when items selected

Choose Update Stage

Select from dropdown

Select new stage and worker

Fill in the form

Confirm

All selected job cards update
Bulk actions apply the same stage and worker to all selected job cards. Only use when all selected cards are at the same current stage.

Bulk Print QR

Print QR codes for multiple job cards:

Select job cards

Check boxes next to job cards

Click Bulk Actions → Print QR

Opens print preview

Troubleshooting

Cause: Page not refreshed, or quantity was 0.Solution: Refresh the page. Check production order quantities are greater than 0.
Cause: Trying to skip stages, or job card already completed.Solution: Stages must progress in order. Check current stage and select the next one only.
Cause: Selected wrong worker during stage change.Solution: Stage changes cannot be undone. Contact admin if correction needed.
Cause: Selected job cards are at different stages.Solution: Only select job cards that are at the same current stage for bulk updates.
