Item Codes

Every item in the catalog has two identification codes. Both appear on the item detail page as read-only fields with a copy button.

Sortly SID

The Sortly SID (e.g., SLUEDT0156) is the original identifier from the Sortly inventory system.
  • Format: SLUEDT followed by a 4-digit number
  • These were imported when the catalog was created
  • Used during the transition period from Sortly
  • Read-only — cannot be changed

Part Number (Internal Code)

The Part # (e.g., BTN-0001) is the permanent internal code assigned by the system.
  • Format: 3-letter category prefix + 4-digit sequential number
  • Automatically assigned when an item is created
  • Read-only — cannot be changed
